How to set up cPanel email on Android devices

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of your device and tap the Gmail icon.

    Load GMail
  2. In the Settings menu, tap on Add another account. The Set up email interface will appear.

  3. In the Add an account interface, tap Other.

  4. In the Enter your email text box, enter your full email address. Tap Next.

  5. Choose POP3 or IMAP.
    Note: On a mobile device we recommend that you select the IMAP mailbox type. Read more about IMAP vs POP. For this demo we will choose IMAP.

  6. Enter your password in the Password text box. Tap Next. This will open the Incoming server settings Interface.
    Note:Tap the show password icon () to ensure that the password is correct.

  7. Your Username and Password will be automatically filled with your previously entered information.
    • In the Server text box, enter the host name information. For Ecliptic Software Solutions the server will be your domain with mail prepended (eg. mail.eclipticsoftwaresolutions.ca where eclipticsoftwaresolutions.ca is replaced with your domain)

      Incoming Server
    • Tap Next. The Outgoing server settings interface will appear.
  8. Your Username and Password will be automatically filled in with your previously entered information.
    • In the Server text box, enter the host name information. For Ecliptic Software Solutions the server will be your domain with mail prepended (eg. mail.eclipticsoftwaresolutions.ca where eclipticsoftwaresolutions.ca is replaced with your domain)

      Outgoing Server Settings
    • Tap Next. The Account options interface will appear.
  9. Enter the following information in the Account options interface. you may set your sync frequency and email notifications.

    Account Options 
    • Select how often your email syncs to the server from from the Sync frequency menu options.
    • To get notifications when email arrives, check the Notify me when email arrives checkbox.
    • To automatically sync email for this account, check the Sync email for this account checkbox.
    • To automatically download attachments when connected to Wi-Fi, check the Automatically download attachments when connected to Wi-Fi checkbox.
    • Tap Next. The confirmation page will appear.
  10. Enter you account name and the name that will appear on your emails.
  11. Tap Next. Your mail client is now ready.

Default Email Account Settings (cPanel Email)

Note: The incoming and outgoing server default setup is mail.domain.com, where 'domain.com' should be replaced with the domain of the email address you are setting up.

Secure SSL/TLS Settings (Recommended)

Username: Use the full email you are setting up.
Password: Use the email account’s password.
Incoming Server: mail.eclipticsoftwaresolutions.ca
  • IMAP Port: 993
  • POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Server: mail.eclipticsoftwaresolutions.ca
  • SMTP Port: 465
IMAP, POP3, and SMTP require authentication.
